While both courses are identical in core curriculum content, the VIP course has more advanced content and time-saving bonuses (see above for complete list) to help you succeed on your journey.
You have lifetime access to the core curriculum and bonuses.
No, you do not. This course teaches you how to navigate free archives and resources, including RiksArkivet (the National Archives of Sweden). Their content is free to anyone. That being said, we highly recommend a subscription to Arkiv Digital if you have the means because their platform is so easy to use for beginners. Additionally, if you have a subscription to Ancestry or another similar site that may prove useful, but no, they are not required.
No, not at all! This program is open to anyone, anywhere. As long as you have Swedish ancestors, you will find it helpful.
Yes, once you enroll you will have immediate access to everything.
This course is suitable for beginner to intermediate Swedish genealogy researchers. A beginner would be someone who has never used Swedish records or Swedish archives to research before, and by intermediate, we mean anyone who may be familiar with Swedish archives and research, but who doesn’t understand the context of the records in full.
If you are an advanced Swedish researcher (for example, you speak the language, know how to use and understand land records, estate inventories, court documents, etc.), this course will likely be too elementary for you.
This is one of the major hurdles students have, so we help you through that in the course! It’s a big part of the curriculum, and we have a whole module dedicated to tracing emigrants.

This course is for researching specifically in Swedish archives online, so no. There is overlap in the techniques, but this course doesn’t really include any tutorials on archives beyond Sweden.
